ePortfolio Liaisons

Campus Projects

In the last two years San José State University has had several projects using ePortfolios with TaskStream Software. Six SJSU faculty in the Spring 2007 semester piloted student use of electronic portfolios. Two faculty members are continuing to use the software for program outcomes assessment - Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism Management and Nutrition, Food Science & Packaging. Currently the School of Nursing is piloting the use of TaskStream to assess student learning outcomes. The College of Education tested and reviewed several ePortfolio solutions in Spring 2008 and has decided to pilot the use of Way Point Fall 2008 semester. San José State was also involved in testing the use of ePortfolios to support integrated and intentional learning for students in First Year Experience courses as part of the National Coalition of ePortfolios (NCEPR) grant received by the CSU ePortfolio consortium. The Academic Technology Division at SJSU continues to reach out to the campus to provide workshops and presentations on ePortfolios to interested faculty/departments.
